Welcome to the BHB Community. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website at https://www.bhbcommunity.com, participation in summits, retreats, and membership programs offered by The Big Hearted Breeders Community (“BHB,” “BHBC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By using our website or services—including registering for events, purchasing memberships, or accessing exclusive content—you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. Eligibility

To use our services or attend events, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a legally binding agreement.

2. Event Registration: Summits and Retreats

2.1 Registration & Payment

  • Registrations must be completed through our official platform.
  • All fees must be paid in full upon registration unless installment options are offered.

2.2 Cancellations & Refunds

  • Attendee cancellations:
    • 30+ days before the event: partial refund (minus admin fees).
    • Within 30 days: non-refundable.
    • No-shows are not eligible for refunds.
  • Organizer cancellations:
    • If BHB cancels the event, a full refund will be issued for registration fees only. Travel and lodging expenses are the attendee’s responsibility.

2.3 Ticket Transfers

  • Tickets may be transferred to another person upon written request at least 7 days prior to the event.

2.4 Code of Conduct

  • Disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal without refund.

3. Membership Program

BHB Community offers a monthly membership program that provides exclusive access to educational resources, networking opportunities, private events, and industry insights.

3.1 Membership Fees

  • Membership is billed monthly on a recurring basis.
  • By signing up, you authorize BHB to automatically charge your selected payment method each month until canceled.

3.2 Membership Benefits

  • Access to member-only content, recordings, webinars, and resources.
  • Early or discounted access to summits and retreats.
  • Invitations to exclusive online and in-person networking sessions.

3.3 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your membership at any time via your account dashboard or by contacting support.
  • Cancellations are effective at the end of your current billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.

3.4 Membership Conduct

  • Members are expected to uphold the community’s standards of professionalism, respect, and integrity in all interactions.
  • BHB reserves the right to terminate membership without refund for violations of community guidelines or Terms.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post unlawful, harmful, or defamatory content.
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of BHB or third parties.
  • Interfere with the functionality or security of the website.

5. Intellectual Property

All content—including event materials, recordings, branding, and digital resources—is the intellectual property of BHB or its partners and may not be copied, distributed, or used without express permission.

6. Photography and Media Release

By attending a BHB event or participating in member activities, you consent to photography, video, and audio recordings which may be used for marketing or educational purposes.

7. Third-Party Links

We may link to third-party websites. BHB is not responsible for their content or practices. Use them at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BHB is not liable for any:

  • Direct or indirect damages from use or inability to use our services.
  • Losses from canceled events.
  • Personal injury or property damage at events.

9. Modifications

BHB reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
